Math.atanh(0) Equals Zero

πŸ“– Usage Example
// Inverse hyperbolic tangent (input in (-1, 1))
Math.atanh(0) // β†’ 0
Math.atanh(0.5) // β†’ 0.5493...

Use Math.atanh() to compute the inverse hyperbolic tangent of a number strictly between -1 and 1.

Math.atanh(x)

Returns the hyperbolic arctangent of a number. Math.atanh(0) returns 0.

Challenge: Use Math.atanh() and verify its result for input 0.

πŸ’‘ Hints (2)
  • β€’ tanh(0) = 0, so atanh(0) = 0
  • β€’ The domain of atanh is the open interval (-1, 1)
