Math.cosh() Is an Even Function

πŸ“– Usage Example
// Hyperbolic cosine
Math.cosh(0)   // β†’ 1
Math.cosh(1)   // β†’ 1.5430...

Use Math.cosh() to compute the hyperbolic cosine, commonly used in physics and engineering formulas.

Math.cosh(x)

Math.cosh() is an even function: cosh(-x) = cosh(x). So Math.cosh(-1) equals Math.cosh(1).

Challenge: Verify the even-function property of Math.cosh().

πŸ’‘ Hints (2)
  • β€’ cosh is an even function: cosh(-x) = cosh(x)
  • β€’ Contrast this with sinh, which is odd: sinh(-x) = -sinh(x)
